Star Wars has always been a source of anticipation and fandom for its amazing story and merchandise. When gamers got a taste of the galaxy far, far away through numerous games from Lucas Art it was like a dream come true. However the “Star Wars: The Old Republic” really hit the mark with its role playing genre and kick ass game play. As soon as you start the game you will be enticed in the age old battle between Sith and Jedi.

“Star Wars: The Old Republic” starts its tale from the beginning of peace between the Galactic Empire and the ascendant Sith Empire. The game is set 300 years right after the Star Wars: Knights of The Old Republic events folded and is a prequel of the famous Star Wars films, occurring around 3500 years before the time period. 

Game Play

When you start playing you will find that you can join two different factions, the evil and power hungry Sith Empire and the peaceful Galactic Republic. The game doesn’t dictate your moves in the game since being part of any of this faction doesn’t warrant the same ideology. If you feel like doing good while being Sith you can actually do it. This gives a unique twist to the game since you can easily work for the Sith while being part of the Galactic Republic therefore creating your own morals in the game. 
You can advance in the game through numerous activities like completing a mission, exploring the world and by defeating different enemies that earns you experience. When you learn new skills by getting to a new level you can learn how to use them by in game trainers on many different places. There is also room for co op playing mode since you can accomplish heroic missions that can be played again later on.

“Star Wars: The Old Republic” features and elaborate class system. There are total eight classes in the game and each class comes with its own unique back story. Each class is exclusive to the faction however they do mirror the classes found on the other side. The eight classes are Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent, Sith Inquistor and the Bounty Hunter for the Sith Empire whereas the Galactic Empire features Trooper, Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular and Smuggler.

The game that according to unconfirmed sources took 200 million dollars to develop promises exciting and challenging game play with intriguing story. It is defiantly one of the best games come out of BioWare and Lucas Art.
